Suzanne Doddridge OTR/L, CHT Suzanne graduated from the University of Florida in 1976 with a BS in Health Related Professions with “High Honors”. Suzanne initially trained under a founding associate of the American Society of Hand Therapists and went on to become a Certified Hand Therapist in 1991. Her hand therapy experience is varied and includes working with the University of Florida medical faculty outpatient clinic, as well, as private physician practices. She has taught anatomy and splinting to fellow therapists in continuing education courses. She has practiced in Asheville since 1999.
Sheri B. Howle, MHS, OTR/L Sheri graduated from the Medical University of S.C. with a BS in Occupational Therapy in1998 and a M.S. in Health Sciences in 1999. Prior to 1998, Sheri was a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) for a total of 13 years experience in various areas of therapy including her greatest love, hand therapy. She recently moved to Asheville from Charleston S.C.
Charlie Robbins, PT Charlie is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended The University of Tennessee, completing a cooperative engineering program at the UT-Knoxville campus, and obtained his Baccalaureate Degree in Physical Therapy at the UT-Memphis campus in 1975. He has practiced physical therapy in the Asheville area since 1975 and has specialized in orthopaedic conditions, including work-related injuries. In addition to direct treatment of orthopaedic injuries/conditions, he performs Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and pre-placement screenings for industrial clients.
Jennifer C. Vernon, OTR/L, CHTA native of Asheville, NC, Jennifer graduated Magna Cum Laude from Medical College of Georgia in 1985 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She became interested in hand therapy while working in a small hospital in coastal Maine. In 1991 she successfully completed the requirements for the inaugural Hand Therapy Certification Examination becoming one of the first Certified Hand Therapists in the country. She returned to Asheville in 1993 and has cared for a wide range of patients with hand and upper extremity disorders. Jennifer has a particular interest and expertise in design and fabrication of complex hand splints.
Robin Southecorvo, OTR/L, CHT Robin graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia with a BS in Occupational Therapy in 1973. Robin received her Certified Hand Therapist designation in 2004. She worked in a variety of rehabilitation settings before moving to Asheville in 1987 where she began her practice of hand therapy. She has served patients of Carolina Hand & Sports Medicine for 7 years. Robin is well known for her patience and is especially talented in caring for children.
