Asheville Occupational Therapy
Our in-house occupational therapy team utilizes the latest technology and techniques to help each patient achieve their maximum performance and transition back to work and daily activities. We specialize in treating hand, wrist, and elbow.
How occupational therapy helps
Following injury, surgery or disease affecting the bones, joints, and muscles, patients sometimes have trouble performing the regular day to day activities of life: grasping a spoon, turning a key, going up or down stairs, or even brushing their teeth. Occupational therapy uses specialized techniques to help patients regain the ability to do these important things on their own.
Our in-house therapy department allows for close communication with our physicians for a team approach. We help you learn personalized techniques to live and function independently given your unique injury or condition, and they provide the guidance and education essential to ongoing wellness and the prevention of future injuries. If it will benefit you, we may incorporate both occupational and physical therapy into your treatment program.
